"It's like an audio-Bible, only with a hundred real people!" That’s a good description of the Scriptorium, SMF's annual Scripture recital here in Hannibal, Missouri. Since 2006, we’ve been gathering for a rich time of sharing whole chapters and books, recited dramatically and creatively by folks young and old from all parts of the country. Lodging and meals are provided here on campus in the dorms, suites, and cafeteria of what formerly was an orphanage and residence high school.
Update: Scriptorium 2014
You are invited to join us from July 21–26 for Scriptorium 2014! For our eighth annual Scriptorium, we plan to recite the entire New Testament, just as we did in 2006. This year, we will slow down a bit—instead of packing Scriptorium into a weekend, we will enjoy 260 chapters over the course of a week, spiced with more structured recreation, worship, and music. Scriptorium 2014 will take place on the campus of Hannibal Evangelical Free Church in Hannibal, Missouri, which also houses the offices of Scripture Memory Fellowship. Lodging and meals are provided on campus in the dorms, suites, cafeteria, gymnasium, and athletic fields of a former residence high school. There is no required fee for attendance, meals, or lodging—your Scripture passage is your ticket!
