Isaac Watts - Father of English Hymnology
N.A. Woychuk

A brief biography of Isaac Watts, the father of English Hymnology. Endowed with poetic abilities in childhood, this devout man of God wrote some of the greatest hymns in the English language, including, "When I Survey the Wondrous Cross," "Jesus Shall Reign Wher'er the Sun," and "Alas, and Did My Savior Bleed." Probably more of his hymns are found in the average hymnal today than that of any other author. Many years ago I found and purchased the complete works of Isaac Watts in several large volumes, printed in 1810. These have been the source of much spiritual blessing to me. Space disallows any more details. You and your family will enjoy this biography of one of God's choicest saints. Heavy paper cover, 92 pages. Measures 5X7 1/2 inches. ISBN 1-880960-53-2

The British Josiah
N. A. Woychuk

A book for the ages. This biography of King Edward VI is a unique work. Tyndale before he was burned, prayed, "Lord, open the King of England's eyes . . ." The next year Edward was born, and became king at the age of 9. During his brief reign the foundations for the Protestant Reformation in England were laid. His great treatise "Against the Primacy of the Pope" is included in this book. We found it in the rare book collection in the British Library. His life and work closely parallel that of the Bible King of Judah, and we thought it appropriate to title the life of king Edward VI, The British Josiah. A hundred years from now people will still be reading this book. Paper cover, 207 pages. ISBN 1-880960-45-1

Immortality
Pastor Herbert Mackenzie

He said, “Immortality is a resurrection or translation of body. . . . When the time ages have become history, and the wide portals of eternity swing open before a redeemed people, immortality will not shrink before the infinite future as does mortality now, for ‘unto the ages of ages’ it will retain the vigor of eternal youth. It is written, ‘there shall be no more death,’ and this surely is immortality. The best book on the subject.

What It Takes to Get Children to Memorize Scripture
By N.A. Woychuk

We read in Deuteronomy 6:6, 7, “These words which I command thee this day shall be in thine heart, and thou shalt teach them diligently to thy children. . . .” That’s a big order. Mrs. Ruskin made her son, John, memorize Scripture. C. H. Spurgeon’s grandmother paid him to memorize Scripture. Mr. & Mrs. Morrison prayed with their son Robert so that he could overcome his deficiences. Mr. & Mrs Jesse probably swayed their son David into memorizing Scripture.
