Scripture Memory Fellowship
Jesus Commands Now Available Print E-mail

Jesus Commands, the first memory book in the new Word of Christ adult series, is now available!

Written by Dr. James A. Woychuk, the in-progress Word of Christ series seeks to take the memorizer through sixty main categories of Jesus' teaching. Jesus Commands covers the first twelve categories, Jesus' commands to the believer to "Abide," "Believe," Repent," "Pray," "Love," "Forgive," and more.

Jesus Commands has twelve assignments of thirteen to sixteen verses each, and has two pages of commentary following each assignment. We have designed the interior layout to be readable, and included a page with each assignment as space for you to write your own notes and questions as you memorize and meditate on the words of Christ.

You can read more about the Jesus Commands memory book here.

SMF Scripture Memory Camp Print E-mail

Each year SMF hosts a week of Scripture Memory Camp. There's always lots of fun, food, and fellowship. But not just any fellowship. It's the kind that comes only from a shared emphasis on the Word of God. Since all of those in attendance have previously expressed a commitment to memorizing God's Word by enrolling in the SMF program, the atmosphere is truly something you have to experience to understand. In addition to the "normal" camp activities, certain features are sure to bless, including Morning Watch and large group games of "Tic-Tac-Know."

Update: Scripture Memory Camp 2014!

Scripture Memory Fellowship invites all memorizers to come to our family camp this summer! We will be meeting at the former BMA Miracle Camp (now Southland Christian Camp) at 3555 Hwy 371, Ringgold, LA from June 2 - 6, 2014. Camp opens with the noon meal on Monday and is over Friday at 1:00 PM. Maps and other information will be mailed upon receipt of your reservation form. (NOTE: Contact Us directly to let us know you are interested, and our office will mail you the needed forms.)

SMF Scripture Memory Camp is for all ages, from infants to grandparents! Adults stay in the hotel/lodge while children and teens will be staying in the dorms with their counselors. We also have housing facilities for families so mom, dad, and children can stay together. Children three years old or younger may attend the week of Camp for free. Memorizers eighteen and under may attend for $50.00 each. Adults (19+) pay $275.00 each. (Costs include meals, lodging, and all activities.) PLEASE NOTE that Scripture Memory Camp 2014 is limited to the first 300 registrants!

Come and join us! We sing, study the Bible, and leave Camp praising the Lord, for it is He alone who satisfies the longing heart and meets the deepest needs of hungry souls.

In order to attend Scripture Memory Camp, each memorizer must recite two assignments from the book they memorized in the previous year (first-time comers are encouraged, but not required, to memorize and recite). Interested? Let us know!

Scriptorium Print E-mail

"It's like an audio-Bible, only with a hundred real people!" That’s a good description of the Scriptorium, SMF's annual Scripture recital here in Hannibal, Missouri. Since 2006, we’ve been gathering for a rich time of sharing whole chapters and books, recited dramatically and creatively by folks young and old from all parts of the country. Lodging and meals are provided here on campus in the dorms, suites, and cafeteria of what formerly was an orphanage and residence high school.

Update: Scriptorium 2014

You are invited to join us from July 21–26 for Scriptorium 2014! For our eighth annual Scriptorium, we plan to recite the entire New Testament, just as we did in 2006. This year, we will slow down a bit—instead of packing Scriptorium into a weekend, we will enjoy 260 chapters over the course of a week, spiced with more structured recreation, worship, and music. Scriptorium 2014 will take place on the campus of Hannibal Evangelical Free Church in Hannibal, Missouri, which also houses the offices of Scripture Memory Fellowship. Lodging and meals are provided on campus in the dorms, suites, cafeteria, gymnasium, and athletic fields of a former residence high school. There is no required fee for attendance, meals, or lodging—your Scripture passage is your ticket!
